A young boy initially thought he would be a father -- making him one of the youngest dads ever at 13 years old -- if not for the shocking DNA results.

According to Inquisitr, 13-year-old Alfie Patten thought that he was the father of baby Maisie Roxanne, born to 15-year-old Chantelle Stedman. Stedman is Patten's girlfriend.

Years after the story made headlines, it has been found out that Patten isn't actually Maisie Roxanne's father, reported International Business Times. The outlet said that DNA tests proved he wasn't the father.

Now, Patten's mother is reportedly breaking her silence after a couple of years, said International Business Times.

"He did cry after we found out he wasn't the dad. When we told Alfie the baby wasn't his he was absolutely hysterical. He burst out crying and then he ran out of the room," International Business Times quoted Patten's mom via The Mirror.

International Business Times noted that Patten was quite committed to being Maisie Roxanne's father although he was also a bit afraid.

"When my mum found out, I thought I was going to get in trouble. We wanted to have the baby but were worried how people would react," Patten was quoted as saying in the International Business Times report via the Daniel Azwan blog site.

"I didn't know what it would be like to be a dad. I will be good though, and care for it," he assured.

But ever since DNA tests confirmed he wasn't the father of Stedman's baby, other young boys are stepping forward to stake their claims.

It turns out that Stedman had unprotected sex with another boy, 15-year-old Tyler Barker, Inquisitr revealed.

"Tyler is a soccer player and his father, Chris Ireland, coaches the Eastbourne Colts under 15 team. He claims Chantelle 'seduced' him because he was drunk. She said she'd make sex easy for him and 'teach' him 'how it is done,'" said the Inquisitr report.

Ireland said in the Inquisitr report: "I knew they were going to a party but I didn't know they were drinking heavily."

Apparently, the sexual intercourse was Barker's first, noted Inquisitr. "I did not use any contraception but Chantelle told me that she would take the morning after pill. I thought she would take care of it," the boy said in the report.

Ireland revealed that Barker was distraught at the news of becoming a dad, noted Inquisitr.

"He's devastated and has broken down in tears at the thought that he might be the baby's father," he said in the report. "Far from bragging about it, he thinks he is life has been ruined by this."
