In a recent interview, Olivia-Newton John's daughter Chloe exposed the not-so-glamorous life of growing up as the child of a celebrity.

Chloe Lattanzi, who is now 27, opened up to the Daily Mail, revealing that she has struggled with both illegal and legal drugs, alcohol and anorexia while living in her mother's shadow and under the microscope of fame.

Fresh out of rehab, Lattanzi warned of the danger of celebrity culture, saying, "Fame totally messes you up. I don't blame my mother for my problems, but I would never want to be famous or raise a child of my own around the cult of celebrity. It ruins lives. If there's one thing I've learned, it is that you can't be fragile in this business, or else you end up like Lindsay Lohan."

She added, "That's not meant as an insult: I know she - and a lot of celebrities and celebrities' kids - are struggling with demons and addictions, just like me, and not all of them are brave enough to address them. It's disturbing that everyone wants to be famous these days. Our culture is sick."

Although Lattanzi doesn't blame her famous mom for her addiction, there are rumors that Newton-John has lived in denial about her daughter's condition.

"I don't want to say anything to hurt my mother. I think it was very difficult for her. She'd never faced anything like that before and she didn't know how to deal with it. Eventually she faced up to it and sent me to a treatment centre for my eating disorder when I was 18."

At the age of 22, Lattanzi moved in with her friends, however, she said, "I never developed any tools for coping with my emotions. The only way I knew how to deal with emotional stress was through self-harm. That's why I started doing drugs and drinking."

Eventually, Lattanzi was spending $100 a day on cocaine and drinking bottle of vodka on a daily basis.

Today Lattanzi is doing well in her recovery and engaged to martial arts instructor James Driskill.
