If there's one particular smartphone that's certainly arriving in 2015, you might be surprised to know that it won't be coming from established mobile manufacturers like Apple, Samsung, Motorola, HTC, LG and so on.

That's because we're bound to get a glimpse of Kodak's very first entry in the smartphone arena, wrote The Verge. According to the outlet, the company has already announced the licensing of its brand to "a range of mobile devices" and prospects will be seeing the first of them in the next Consumer Electronics Show, dated Jan. 6 - 9, 2015.

However, it must be noted that the iconic camera company isn't responsible for crafting mobile devices per se. As reported by Engadget, English company Bullitt will do most of the development work. Bullitt has been credited for its production of very-rugged Caterpillar phones, which you can check out here.

Aside from the pilot smartphone expected at the Las Vegas CES event, NDTV noted that a 4G handset, a tablet and a connected camera are slated to arrive in the second half of 2015. The outlet cited Kodak's announcement that its smartphones are aimed among consumers who desire a "high-end experience," yet find complicated devices uncomfortable.

The following key points were revealed in a recent press release:

1. The range of upcoming mobile devices will be powered by Android.

2. Such devices are said to offer the "best-in-class" image management software and features. "Great" design and user interface may be expected.

3. The range of upcoming devices (smartphones and tablets) will arrive pre-packed with bespoke image capture, management and sharing features.

4. Advanced remote management software will be pre-installed. This will allow convenient help and support interactions between family members and friends.

5. The Kodak Mobile Device line will not compromise on design and user experience. It promises to cater an under-served market segment.

Bullitt Mobile CEO Oliver Schulte expressed, "Kodak is one of the world's most recognisable brands. It is trusted by consumers as a marque of quality and innovation."

"We've taken that heritage and used it to inspire a range of beautifully designed devices that will let users take great pictures and edit, share, store and print them in an instant," he added.

Kodak's resurrection from its previous bankruptcy has been noted by USA Today. Citing the company's production halt of digital cameras in 2012, the source believed that licensing is a "big business" for Kodak.

Watch out for Kodak's upcoming device at CES 2015 on the Kodak stand in South Hall 1, Booth 21818.
