Business tycoon and TV personality Donald Trump hated the results of the recently concluded 87th Academy Awards.

In an interview with "Fox & Friends," Trump expressed his distaste on the Oscars' list of winners, majority of which was won by "Birdman" filmmaker and Mexican Alejandro González Iñárritu.

"It was a great night for Mexico, as usual - you know, this country, the whole thing is ridiculous," the Trump Entertainment Resorts founder said, as quoted by Complex. "This guy kept getting up and up and up. What's he doing? He's walking away with all the gold? Was it that good? I don't hear that. It was certainly a big night for them."

"Birdman," which stars Michael Keaton as a washed-up actor attempting to revive his career by staging a play, won the Best Picture award in the Oscars. Iñarritu, winner in the Best Director category, wrote the film alongside Nicolás Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris, Jr., and Armando Bo. The movie also went home with the Original Screenplay award, Variety reported.

Trump wasn't satisfied with criticizing "Birdman" and Iñarritu's win; the business mogul also aired out his dissatisfaction in regards to the winners' acceptance speeches.

"There was a lot of conservative hatred there, there's no question about that. I haven't seen any conservatives get up lately and start ranting and raving. So sort of an interesting evening, but I thought it was just not a good-looking program. And I thought the set looked horrible," Trump explained, as quoted by The Inquisitr.

Continuing on with his rant, Trump went on Instagram to recommend himself as the host of the 2016 Oscars as a solution to the poor quality of this year's ceremony, The Inquisitr noted.

The American businessman's tirade adds to the controversy surrounding this year's Academy Awards, which includes Sean Penn's green card joke directed at Iñarritu. There was also the issue of the lack of diversity in the list of nominees, which prompted Latino congressman Tony Cárdenas to pen a letter to the award giving body.

Penn's statement: "Who gave this son of a b*tch his green card?" right before announcing "Birdman's" win sparked social media outrage, Daily Mail reported. Cosmopolitan Magazine and immigration activist Jose Antonio Vargas were among those who called out the actor's remark, even though it was only intended as a joke.

Mario Lopez of "Extra" tweeted that Penn ruined "a fantastic moment," pointing out that no one questioned the immigration status of the dozens of Australian and British actors also present in the event, Daily Mail wrote.

Cárdenas' letter to Academy Awards President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, on the other hand, expressed the politician's shock at "the lack of diversity in this year's Oscars nominees," stressing out that "it is unfortunate to see such a revered American institution fail to fully reflect our nation," Deadline wrote.
