Rumors pointing to the LG G4's absence in the 2015 Mobile World Congress indeed came true. Instead, the company has showcased its newest 4G luxury wearable, the LG Watch Urbane, alongside four other mid-range phones.

According to The Telegraph, the new smartwatch brought a "dramatic departure" from last year's LG G Watch R, which arrived with a rather sporty design.

Packing a 1.3-inch circular P-OLED display, the Urbane runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz. It's both water- and dust-resistant.

Meanwhile, reports surrounding the LG G4 have not ceased. We're still seeing few details pop here and there, but given the confirmation of many speculations on the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and HTC One M9, it's interesting to review how the grapevine has formed LG's upcoming bearer thus far.

Before we get into specs, let it be known that the LG G4 is expected to arrive beginning Q2 2015, as seen by Phone Arena. Looking back, one exec has reportedly confirmed that the company wanted to "spend more time perfecting the new phone."

That said, we could see the device the soonest next month, though this is still best taken with a pinch of salt. As you might remember, predecessor LG G3 arrived around the end of May 2014, so the LG G4's launch could only remain speculated at this point.

Another interesting detail about the LG G4 is its price, which seemed to deviate from its predecessor's "affordable price point," lgg4updates.com noted.

As the outlet put it, the LG G4 will sell expensively, around $1,000 (U.S.) or £600-£800 (U.K.). Such cost is allegedly attributed to the handset's display, processor and camera.

Preliminary specs of the LG G4 are listed by GSMArena. As indicated, the device will come with a 5.3-inch display, a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, 4 GB of RAM, 16 MP main camera, 5 MP front snapper, 32 GB / 64 GB storage options, Qi-enabled wireless charging, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 and Android 5.0 Lollipop support.

As with much of today's top-of-the-line devices, the LG G4 has stirred countless concept renders all over the web.

For one, this design appeared to concentrate on the handset's metal architecture, along with the emphasis of a round camera flash.

Form seems to be the focus of this concept, which highlighted the device's curved architecture and 4K display.

Both the LG G Flex and the LG G Flex 2 have made stellar impressions in the market, so we're excited to see if the LG G4 gets flexed as well.

Finally, if we are to consider the grueling battle over skinny figures, this render of the LG G4 has quite said it all. Pegged with a 5.5-inch screen, this concept most likely addresses trends of larger displays, too.

Note that these are creative products of talented designers and are not to be mistaken as the true smartphone. Until then, we'll have to hear more from LG.
