The iPod Touch 6th Generation's release date could be facing delays, Christian Times reported.

The product was scheduled for launching September last year but was put on hold because of the Apple iPhone 6 launch, according to Christian Today.

Additionally, with the surge of different Apple products in the market, it is somehow difficult to find that niche market which will be enthused with the iPod Touch 6th Gen.

It is also speculated by Master Herald that Apple is postponing the iPod Touch line to avoid run-ins on "supply issues."

The iPod Touch 6G is said to be released in two different sizes: 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. It could also be offered in 5 different colors including yellow, space grey, blue, red, pink and silver. It may house a 1GB of RAM which can be upgraded to 128 GB.

It has been suggested that the new iPod Touch 6th Generation could range from $250 to $300 in price, depending on the memory capacity.

iPad Pro Also Delayed?

Apple could also be facing another problem with the iPad, Bloomberg reported.

iPad sales have already been declining so it could be harder for Apple to release the iPad Pro, a bigger version of the tablet. The iPad Pro is said to be a 12.9-inch tablet which will have a delayed release by September this year. Sources told Bloomberg that the screen panel supply is what is keeping the production on hold.

Apple CEO Tim Cook initiated this movement for the iPad "to reinvigorate the iPad product line," as stated by Bloomberg.

According to reports, Apple has been working on this project to attract more users and bring back Apple loyalists.

Critics are speculating that iPad's declining sales is due to the high volume of larger iPhones in the market. It seems like with bigger-screened smartphones, there is minimal need for the iPad. iPad sales have been faltering since last year.

This year, iPad sales continue to drop to 18 percent. Apple has sold 21.4 million units compared to the 21.5 million units expected sales as per analysts' predictions.

Last year, the Cupertino-based company introduced two new products on the iPad line: iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3. However, the incremental improvements on the devices were not encouraging enough to move the market.

This is not the first time rumors emerge regarding the iPad Pro's delay. In October last year, The Wall Street Journal reported that the reason why Apple has been holding back on the iPad is because they would like to give way to the iPhone 6 line, according to MacRumors.

So far, Apple has not confirmed the delay yet, according to CNET. In the same manner, no official news from Apple regarding the iPod Touch 6th Generation is out yet.
