WWE News & Rumors 2013: John Cena Could Team With Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 30, Could Goldberg Return?

The rumors of Hulk Hogan making a WWE return at Wrestlemania XXX continue to pick up steam with Hogan telling TMZ.com that he wants to take his wife, Jennifer, to the pay-per-view being that she has never attended a Wrestlemania event. Rumors are circulating that Hogan may get paired with World Heavyweight Champion John Cena in a tag-team match at Wrestlemania, with Cena telling the gossip Web site that he grew up a huge Hogan fan and would love to team up with the wrestling icon but that, "I certainly wouldn't want to put him in a position he's not physically capable of. We operate at a high level of speed in the WWE nowadays."

Goldberg is also rumored to be making an appearance at Wrestlemania XXX and recently said at C4 Comic Con in Winnipeg, Canada that he was approached about making an appearance by WWE executive Triple H, according to The Wrestling Observer. Goldberg said he would love to return so his son can see him "on a big stage" but would only do it if the price is right, saying the "ball is in their court."

Ryback, who is a rumored possible opponent for the former WCW Heavyweight Champion, told Boston's CBS affiliate that he respects Goldberg and would like to go against him at Wrestlemania. "I have a great amount of respect for Bill Goldberg, but I'm not going to beat around the bush and say I wanna be best friends with the guy," said Ryback. "I'd like to face him in the ring. I've heard him say he's not happy with comments I've made about him, if he has a problem with it let's settle it at Wrestlemania."

Former NFL linebacker, Shawne Merriman, was not offered a contract by the WWE after his try-out at the WWE Performance Center. Reports say that Merriman did not look good in the ring and got tired quickly. Merriman told the Baltimore Sun that it was not a training session and that he was "messing around a little bit." Merriman told the newspaper that, "I wanted to see their new facilities in Orlando, and it was something I dreamed about doing as a kid. So, when I actually got a chance to see the guys train, I just jumped in the ring and kind of had some fun."

Former Ring of Honor (ROH) tag-team The American Wolves - Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards - made their WWE NXT debut last week and may be on the verge of signing a deal with the company after the duo was told they could finish their finish their commitments with ROH but to not take anymore indy dates. Richards and Edwards - renamed The American Pitbulls - wrestled NXT tag-team, The Ascension, at last Thursday's NXT television taping. NXT writer Ryan Ward, as well as WWE trainers Billy Gunn and Bill DeMott, are high on The American Pitbulls, trying to push Triple H to sign the tag team. The American Pitbulls main obstacle has been Vince McMahon, who has stated he not looking to sign anymore indy talent at the moment.
