Mexican businesses have been complaining due to the disruption that the filming of the upcoming James Bond movie "Spectre" is causing.

According to a report from Fox News Latino, "leaders of small businesses in Mexico City's historic downtown district say owners have complained of a 60 percent drop in sales." Filming for "Spectre" in the location has only been going on for a week. Street closures have been issued between March 19 and April 1 in the colonial district, which has been dated to be 500 years old.

Gerardo Lopez Becerra, head of the city's small business chamber, said that the organization is grateful for the publicity the production of "Spectre" has been providing. However, he also admits that there are cases wherein "store and restaurant employees haven't been allowed to go to work and the street closings have scared away customers," Fox News Latino wrote.

He also added that the city should offer assistance to those merchandise stores "affected by frequent closures in the downtown area due to street protests, festivals and film projects," the news outlet noted.

Daniel Craig, the lead star of "Spectre" in the role of the iconic James Bond or Agent 007, has been spotted filming heart-pumping scenes in Zocola main square in Mexico City just recently. According to Express Online, the production team re-created the "Day of the Dead," a Mexican holiday where participants dressed as skeletons.

In a new set of photos published on Express Online, Craig was seen in his trademark navy blue suit and sunglasses walking calmly through the carnage from the set explosions. Thousands of extras dressed as skeletons were also seen lining the streets.

'Spectre' Cast & Release Date

Aside from Craig, "Spectre" will also star Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser (Bond's German-accented foe), Lea Seydoux, Dave Bautista, Andrew Scott, and Monica Bellucci, Forbes reports. Cinema Blend noted that Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, and Naomie Harris are also in the cast.

Mexican actress Stephanie Sigman will also portray a character named Estrella, according to the film's official Facebook page.

Scott, known for portraying Moriarty in the BBC series "Sherlock," will play as MI5 employee Denbigh, The Hollywood Reporter stated. Bellucci and Seydoux are the new Bond girls, portraying the roles of Lucia Sciarra and Madeleine Swann, respectively.

"Spectre" will once again be directed by "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes, with the screenplay written by John Logan, Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade, ComingSoon.net reports. The flick is slated for release on November 6, 2015. A teaser trailer for the movie has been released. Watch it below.
