A minute after tickets for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight became available online, the entire MGM Grand in Las Vegas sold out for the bout on May 2.

Daily Mail said the tickets became available at 12 noon (Las Vegas time), then minutes after it already appeared on the second market with one ticket costing a hefty price of $128,705 on StubHub.

After Manny Pacquiao's promoter Top Rank and Floyd Mayweather's Mayweather Promotions signed a contract with MGM Grand, about 1,000 tickets have reportedly been made available to the public. These were available for purchase at mgmgrand.com and ticketmaster.com, with prices beginning at $1,500 up to $7,500

"Prospective buyers were limited to four tickets per person," added Daily Mail, noting that there were issues with the MGM Grand website because of the volume of reservations and purchases coming in.

None of the $10,000 seats were made available to the public.

Forbes said the $10,000 tickets were given to MGM Grand, Top Rank, and Mayweather Productions officials. "Part of the hold up in signing the contract was initially due to a disagreement on the amount of tickets that would be distributed from each party," added Forbes.

For those who purchased through Ticketmaster, Daily Mail said they can get their tickets in person on April 29 (Wednesday) from a collection point in Las Vegas.

The 16,800-seater MGM Grand is expected to be filled with fans who were able to purchase the tickets, while the remaining ones will be divided between the promoters, cable networks sharing the pay-per-view broadcast, and the MGM hotel clients and guests.

Those who were not able to buy tickets for the fight can instead witness the weigh-in on May 1, according to ESPN.

"Tickets, priced at $10 with all of the money generated earmarked for charity, will go on sale at 3 p.m. ET Friday (with a total ticket limit of 10 per person) through the MGM Resorts call center or any MGM Resorts box office," the report added.

It also detailed that Pacquiao will give a portion of his weigh-in ticket sales to the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, which studies the brain health of boxers. Mayweather, on the other hand, will donate his share to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation, a breast cancer charity.

"The weigh-in is always the grand finale of fight week activities. And with the massive interest in this fight, the number of fans looking to attend the official weigh-in is going to be something we've never seen before. We're excited to be able to use the enthusiasm around this event to provide donations to two very deserving charities," said Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe.

The high demand for the ticket is understandable especially with people anticipating the fight even years before it became a reality.
