The next owner of this gorgeous Los Angeles home which the Hollywood ex-couple recently listed on the market can rest assured there'll be no acrimonious air lingering inside the former love nest.

Just last year, Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith underwent the sticky process of divorce to put an end into their marriage that lasted for nearly two decades. The two admitted that irreconcilable differences were to blame, but also cleared up via a joint statement that there's no enmity between them.

"We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost 20-year marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family, and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together," the New York Daily News notes.

The 15,000-square-foot Italian revival mansion is now up for grabs at a $16.1 million price tag.

The former couple purchased the property back in 1999 for $4.2 million, and combined it with an adjacent lot worth $1.3 million which they bought the year after. They razed the house structure on the latter and created a 1.5-acre estate that features expansive lawns, a long driveway, an organic vegetable garden, and rose gardens, according to the property listing via The Wall Street Journal.

Gordon B. Kaufmann was credited for the architecture of the house which was built in the 1920's. He is the very same man behind the Hoover Dam design. The estate is located within the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Hancock Park.

The home was constructed with more than 15,000 square feet of space spread across three stories. It has 13 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. It also includes a paneled library, a music studio, several balconies and fireplaces, and a gym, according to the LA Times. It also features an elevator, a banquet hall and a kitchen, which both rises up to a second floor.

Its interior is highlighted by vaulted beam ceilings, wood-paneled ceilings, and the hand-stenciled coffered ceilings of the formal dining room. On the outside, one can find a courtyard where the swimming pool area is also located.

The grass widower was known for his starring roles in "Desperado" (1995) and "The Mask of Zorro" (1998), while the veteran actress rose to fame with her critically-acclaimed roles in "Body Double" (1984) and in the 1988 film "Working Girl," where she picked up the best actress award in a lead role for both the Academy and the Golden Globes.
