British pop girl group Spice Girls has reunited to celebrate David Beckham's 40th birthday.

The birthday bash, which took place on Saturday, May 2 at Marrakech, Morocco, saw four of the Spice Girls hanging out with other party attendees. Snapshots from the night featured actress Eva Longoria with Beckham's wife Victoria (Posh Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice). Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Scary Spice, was absent in the event, Us Weekly reported.

Other celebrities present are food writer Tana Ramsey, illusionist David Blaine, model and actress Denise Vasi, chef Gordon Ramsay, director Guy Richie, actress Liv Tyler, TV personality Claudia Winkleman, and football agent Dave Gardner, Mirror Online wrote

Also in attendance at the party held at five-star resort Amanjena are the Beckham couple's children: first-born son Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12, 10-year-old Cruz, and three-year-old daughter Harper, Daily Mail noted.

The candlelit lavish party lasted until 7 AM in the morning accompanied by snake charmers, belly dancers, and Beckham's favorite cocktails, Mirror Online reported. A source of the news outlet revealed that the partygoers ended the night by watching the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight. The guests also enjoyed themselves at the dance floor, with Beckham leading the pack.

Beckham recently joined Instagram to celebrate his 40th birthday. The former Manchester United player now has a whopping 4 million followers in just a span of days of being active on the social networking site. The first photo he shared was of a black-and-white shot of him lying shirtless in bed with his tattoos visible.

Mirror Online added that the guests were expected to have major hangovers after the bash, adding, "No one wanted to go to bed. It's fair to say most people were feeling fragile."

Spice Girls 20th Anniversary Reunion?

In an interview with Brown last April, it was said that a reunion for the girls could be possible in the future. The group performed at the London 2012 Olympic Games, so a special event for their 20th anniversary could also happen. Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee concert in 2012 also saw a Spice Girls reunion, Us Weekly added.

"I mean, we got together for the Olympics and nobody thought that we were going to get together for that. Next year is our 20th anniversary so we'll see. Maybe we'll do something. Who knows?" Brown shared, as quoted by Unreality TV.

In February, Spice Girls unveiled four unreleased tracks from their 2000 album "Forever," The Daily Beast reported. However, the songs titled "Pain Proof," "Right Back at Ya'," "A Day in Your Life," and "If It's Lovin' on Your Mind" unfortunately didn't include Halliwell for she left the group in 1998. Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard, who was also behind Spice Girls' two earlier albums, "Spice and "Spiceworld," produced the songs.
