The Houston Texans (2-6) had different hopes - Super Bowl dreams rather than jostling for a high draft pick in the 2015 NFL Draft - at the start of the season, as they travel to play the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-9) on Thursday Night Football.

The Jaguars, who started the season 0-8 under new head coach Gus Bradley, has won three out of the four last games, including last week's 32-28 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The Jaguars are looking to sweep the Texans, who were beaten 13-6 by Jacksonville in Week 12 in what Houston WR Andre Johnson called the "lowest point" of his career. Jacksonville RB Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown against the Texans in their November matchup, while the defense held Houston to 218 total yards.

Jacksonville QB Chad Henne has been handling duties under center, going 22-of-40 passes for 195 yards against the Browns last week and only one interception, managing to find WR Cecil Shorts six times for 64 receiving yards and a touchdown for their third straight victory on the road.

"I couldn't care less what (the opposition) think," said Jacksonville Cecil Shorts. "It's the NFL. You're going to win or lose each week. For us, we're getting better. We've been 3-1 since the bye week, so if they've got a problem with it, come see us. For us, we're getting better. We've been 3-1 since the bye week, so if they've got a problem with it, come see us."

Houston, who won back-to-back AFC South division titles in 2011 and 2012, is desperately trying to stop a 10-game losing streak after starting the season 2-0 and with aspirations to contend for the Super Bowl. The Texans lost to the New England Patriots, blowing a 10-point halftime lead only to lose 34-31 after New England kicker Stephen Gostkowski nailed two 53-yard field goals in the fourth quarter to give the Patriots the win.

Houston QB Case Keenum, who replaced Matt Schaub in the starting lineup, completed 15-of-30 passes for 272 yards, with RB Ben Tate rushing for three touchdowns and 102 yards on 22 carries. In six starts, Keenum has completed 54.2 percent of his passes, second-worst since Week 7, and threw two interceptions and no touchdowns in the last two games, including tossing for a season-low 169 yards against the Jaguars in their Week 12.

"(It is) very humbling to go from truly visualizing you being in the Super Bowl to you being the worst team in the league," said Houston DE Antonio Smith. "But it isn't going to stop our fight."
