If current speculations hold truth, Samsung is about to reveal its next iteration in the Galaxy Note series -- the Galaxy Note 5 -- in four months. As it turns out, the device is pegged for a September appearance, the Ecumenical News said, following the launch pattern of its predecessors.

Yet again, rumors are loud surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S7, despite the recent arrival of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. According to Trusted Reviews, the handset most likely follows the MWC unveiling of its predecessors. In 2016, the event is reportedly set to run between Feb. 22 and Feb. 25.

While Samsung has not confirmed the existence of these devices, speculations surrounding their specs, features and prices are all over the web. Let's take a peek at how these grapevine talks compare them so far:

Display

The Galaxy Note 5 is expected to be Samsung's first 4K display-supported smartphone, Christian Today noted. As told by the outlet, the device is believed to sport such display in a 5.4 or 5.5 screen, backed by a Super AMOLED, dual-edged technology.

Earlier rumors claimed that the new Note device will ship with a larger 5.9-inch screen, the Ecumenical News said. Its 4K display (2160 x 3840 pixel resolution) is said to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

A 5.5-inch screen is rumored for the Galaxy S7, the Venture Capital Post wrote. This looks to be larger than its predecessor, the Galaxy S6, which comes with a 5.1-inch display.

Processor, RAM & Storage

Under the hood, a high-density EPOP memory is purported to run the Galaxy Note 5, International Business Times cited. The new memory chip will allow faster multitasking and slimmer handset designs, as it combines 3GB LPDDR3 DRAM, 32GB eMMC (embedded multi-media card) and a controller, Know Your Mobile reported.

Meanwhile, an insider told SamMobile that the Korean tech giant has also been testing Galaxy Note 5 units with the new Exynos 7430.

IBT mentioned reports, which claimed that the Galaxy Note 5 ships with 4 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage.

Samsung is speculated to use Qualcomm chips for the Galaxy S7, despite the fact that the Galaxy S6 packed the company's own Exynos.

In another report, Trusted Reviews took note of JK Shin's remarks, Samsung's mobile chief, who said, "We have to use the best engines to make our products competitive, which is why we opted to use our own chips."

"But we may very well end up using products from Qualcomm again in the next Galaxy phone," Shin said.

Christian Today noted that the Galaxy S7 is rumored be a "true octa-core device," running a clockspeed of 3 GHz. This is allegedly coupled with 6 GB of RAM. Interestingly, the device is pegged to have a whopping 256 GB variant.

Camera

As cited by Vine Report, the Galaxy Note 5 is touted to arrive with a 16 MP main camera, while its selfie snapper is pegged to capture at 8 MP. The outlet added that the device is rumored to launch with the Samsung Gear A, the company's long-anticipated circular smartwatch (aka Orbis).

The Galaxy S7 is purported to have a 20 MP main camera supported by an ultra low light sensitivity sensor, the VC Post said. Another rumor claims that it could have a 30 MP rear camera, while its front shooter may capture at 7 or 10 MP.

Operating System

The Galaxy Note 5 is expected to run the latest version of Android Lollipop at launch, the Ecumenical News wrote in another article. Nevertheless, word about the upcoming Android M is seen as another option.

The Galaxy S7 most likely follows the latest version of Android OS as well, since the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to arrive first.

Price

The Inquirer expects the Galaxy Note 5 to come at a price of around £650 (SIM-free), which converts to about $1,022 as of press time.

The Galaxy S7 is believed to sell for $999, according to galaxys6samsung.com.

Because these details are churned by rumor mills, they're still best taken with healthy pinches of salt.
