Shonda Rhimes, the woman behind hit dramas, "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal," among others, has something in store for her avid followers.

The multi-awarded writer, director and producer will publish her first novel in November this year.

Rhimes' new book, titled "Year of Yes," is about how saying "yes" to everything for an entire year changed her life.

In a press release by publisher Simon & Schuster, Rhimes said, "Saying yes for an entire year turned out to be one of the most amazing decisions I have ever made. It was also a little insane, a lot terrifying and sometimes wildly embarrassing."

Rhimes admitted that the story was not something she ever planned on sharing with anyone, however, when the publishing giant approached her, she agreed to do so in the spirit of the goal she set for herself.

Simon and Schuster's Vice President and Editor-in-Chief Marysue Rucci said in the company statement that once the book is released, "It's easy to imagine this book inspiring a movement." She also described the book as "poignant" and "accessible."

The Wall Street Journal said that according to a representative from the publishing house, the company plans on running 200,000 copies for their initial print.

Last month Rhimes talked about the power of being a woman when she was honored by the Feminist Majority Foundation, Variety noted. When her assistant expressed the desire to want to know how it feels as a man who can have "all of that," she encouraged her to embrace womanhood instead.

The "How To Get Away With Murder" producer said, as quoted by the LA Times, "Living in the possession of a vagina is not a hindrance. It's not a flaw, it is a gift." She also added, "Lead the life you want to lead. Be whoever you want to be. Have the babies. Be the CEO. Lean out. Lean in -- on your own terms. Just run this thing because I don't want the girls wishing they could be men for a day. I don't even want men wishing they could be women. I just want those words 'all of that,' I want all of that to apply to all of us."

For a powerful showrunner in Hollywood with three hit series under her belt and a book soon to be released, Rhimes proved that yes, "all of that" can happen if you're brave enough to say "yes."
