Casper Smart has issued an official answer about what's really going on with him and Jennifer Lopez.

"Today it's just fun, just having a good time," Smart told Terri Seymour of Extra. "If we have anything to announce, we will let everybody know, we're just hanging out."

Smart, 28, and Lopez, 45, have remained close despite breaking up in June 2014 and were often spotted hanging out together. The two was seen holding each other's hands and kissing.

In an appearance at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Lopez teased that she is "kind of not single," PEOPLE noted. A few weeks ago, she also posted a snapshot of Smart on Instagram as her Man Crush Monday, with the hashtags #lovethispic and #HandsomeBear included in the caption.

Despite being vague about the real score between him and the "I Luh Ya Papi" singer, the "Fake Off" judge gushed about Lopez's working attitude, insisting that the brunette beauty is "one of the hardest-working people" he has "ever seen or met" in his life, the news outlet noted. He recently choreographed Lopez's sexy music video with Prince Royce for "Back It Up."

Lopez, who is set to have an artist residency in Las Vegas in 2016, was under fire for her controversial performance at Rabat, Morrocco's Mawazine Music Festival. A report from BBC said that Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane has ordered an investigation for the TV network that aired the songstress' concert.

According to Benkirane, Lopez's performance was "serious delinquency" and that it contained "disgraceful scenes," BBC noted. He also added that "sexually suggestive" broadcast violates the nation's audiovisual law.

Earlier, the "American Idol" judge's racy performance prompted calls for the resignation of the country's communication minister, Mustapha Khalfi, from his position. Lopez's acts were described by the ruling Justice and Development Party or JDP as "unacceptable" and "against the law," a separate report from BBC noted.

According to the news outlet, Khalfi has rejected the people's demands for his resignation. Khalfi previously said that he has reached out to the TV network and asked its ethics committee to examine the moral aspects of the concert, Fox News Latino wrote. The politician didn't criticize Lopez directly, but he pointed a finger on the TV network's move of going against broadcasting law, Al Arabiya reported.

J. Lo on 'Shades of Blue'

Just recently, Lopez was spotted on the NYC set of her new TV series, "Shades of Blue," shooting a serious scene wherein her character, Harlee Santos, was put in handcuffs. According to Daily Mail, Lopez was joined by her co-star Warren Kole, who portrays Robert Staal in the upcoming NBC drama.

Also starring are Ray Liotta and Drea de Matteo, PEOPLE reported. In its entirety, "Shades of Blue" is a show that tackles what is right and wrong, and what lengths do people go to for their loved ones. The series is a mid-season entry for the 2015-16 TV season.
