Following the United States Supreme Court decision on marriage equality is the Pride in New York City - an event made even bigger with the presence of one of the most controversial celebrities today.

Caitilyn Jenner, dressed in all white, graced the parade with her presence over the weekend, in celebration of the legalization of same-sex marriage in all of 50 American states. According to Perez Hilton, Jenner partied at the PH-D Rooftop Lounge at the Dream Downtown Hotel in Chelsea, where she was greeted with chants and cheers from the crowd.

"She was the center of attention as people waved at her and screamed her name. She was really appreciative and loved how excited everyone was," said an insider, who also revealed that the former Olympian was surrounded by six friends at the party, where was being filmed for her new reality TV show separate from the rest of her family.

A party-goer also shared to E! News, "Everyone started chanting, 'Caitlyn, Caitlyn.' She got up and waved and smiled at everyone."

E! News also noted that transgender performer, Candis Cayne, was at the event, and she got the chance to say hello to Caitlyn while she was filming for "I Am Cait." During Cayne's performance on "I am a Woman," which she dedicated to Jenner, the reality TV star made it rain money on the partygoers, leaving soon after the end of the show with her friends.

Her appearance at the New York Pride party is a big deal for Caitlyn, as she has been living under the radar since the official "unveiling" of her new self on the cover of Vanity Fair. However, her decision to step out to celebrate marriage equality could mean that she is going to live her new life, proud of her decision to finally be honest with herself.

Photos of Jenner celebrating were captured by fans as well, showing her in happy and in high spirits. According to MTV, she shared that she's working on several projects to raise awareness on transgender issues, with the help of the Human Rights Campaign organization.

In her Vanity Fair cover, Jenner shared, "I'm just going to go live life. I'm going to go enjoy life. I have nothing left to hide. I am kind of a free person, a free soul... To be able to wake up in the morning, be yourself, get dressed, get ready to go out, and just be like a normal person-that's a wonderful feeling to go through life."
