The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly out of LaMarcus Aldridge's list of teams he would like to play for next season.

According to Yahoo Sports, the All-Star forward met with head coach Byron Scott, president of basketball operations Jim Buss, Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak, former Lakers and Basketball Hall of Famer James Worthy, team president Jeanie Buss and the face of the franchise, Kobe Bryant.

Earlier reports surfaced that the meeting went very well and LaMarcus Aldridge is inclined to see what's in store for him in Los Angeles. However, in just a few hours after the meeting, multiple reports indicated that the Los Angeles Lakers are now out for the running for Aldridge's services.

According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers failed to convince Aldridge that there is a bright future waiting for him in Los Angeles.

In another report by Mike Bresnahan, LaMarcus Aldridge was still having second thoughts. But, what made him decide not to commit with the Lakers was, He did not like the team's presentation about the most important factor of all, basketball.

Furthermore, it seems like Aldridge did not like how Kobe envisioned him should he don a purple and gold jersey. According to Kobe Bryant, he will serve as his new Pau Gasol, which means he will be the team's second option.

Bresnahan added to Yahoo Sports: "Aldridge considered the Lakers to be part of a 'two-horse race' with the San Antonio Spurs and "wanted to be wowed" but was actually turned off by the lack of analytics on the basketball side of their presentation, according to the person."

Talking about analytics, the Houston Rockets made quite an impression with Aldridge when they met after the Los Angeles Lakers meeting. Now, it seems like the two-team race will be between the Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs.

Aldridge was floored in a good way by Houston's analytics, on-court projections in their presentation. Not so with the Lakers.
