Geared to battle with the smartphone alphas Apple and Samsung, rumors about the LG G5 reveal promising concepts, specs and features that aim to bring better mobile experience.

Here are the three most talked about LG G5 concepts circling around the Web as of press time:

Concept from designer uva dance (via Concept Phones). Coming from the designer of impressive Sony Xperia concepts is this minimalist LG G5 (about 6.4 mm) that boasts a 6.6 inch POLED display rendering a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 820 14 nm processor, 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128 FB of ROM.

Looking to provide high-quality images, the concept features a 21.4 MP rear camera with OIS and dual LED flash, as well as an 8.3 MP front-facing camera. It also has dual speakers with a watt of power each, according to Phone Arena. Despite its slim size, this LG G5 concept is powered with a 4000 mAh  battery that can be fully charged in just an hour. Other features include a fingerprint scanner and USB type C Port both placed on the back.

The LG G5 Note (via Android Info). Phablet-size, thicker and loaded with stunning features -- one look, and one would easily notice how this concept directly combats with the Galaxy Note series and the iPhone Plus.  According to Android Info, rumors suggest that the G5 Note has an impressive 6" Sapphire rendering a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels - even clearer than Ultra HD at 3840 x 2160, the report adds.

The LG G5 concept is also expected to support 3D viewing without any 3D glasses, perfect for gamers and movie lovers who have been waiting for a smartphone that can finally display life-like images and recordings.

The New LG G5 Concept Future (via The Zone Phones). Giving a more sophisticated look is this design concept from the Zone Phones (check out the link to see the clip). It features a look and feel close to its predecessor, the LG G4. Its back part is clad in leather, paired with metal edges. Other rumors about the specs of the LG G5 include a Snapdragon Qualcomm octa-core processor clocked at 2.9 GHz and 5GB RAM, according to Smartphone 2016.

While the aforementioned concepts vary in specs, one of the most sought after features of the LG G5 is the integration of an iris scanner.  It is an automated method of biometric identification that utilizes pattern-recognition techniques on video images of the irises.

Per Techtimes, both Samsung and LG are said to have been working on this ultimate security technology for quite some time now.

Expected release date of the LG G5, according to LG G5 Updates, is on the 3^rd week of June 2016 (U.S.) and the week after in Europe. Price range is from U.S. $800–$900.
