"The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening and his wife, Agustina Picasso, was accused by a former nanny of maltreatment because of her Hispanic heritage.

In the lawsuit against her previous employers, Tania Cardona claimed that she and her fellow Latino employees "were treated like animals" and were often overworked, TMZ reported. Cardona added that they "had to eat at a small table next to a trash can in the laundry room," the news outlet added.

It should be noted that Picasso, who is Groening's second wife, is of Hispanic descent as well and is an Argentine artist, TMZ wrote.

According to Cardona, Groening complained that his 2-year-old son, Nathaniel, was not going to be fluent in speaking English because of all the Latino employees surrounding the child. The lawsuit indicates that the 61-year-old cartoonist said that "his house looked like a Hispanic community and he 'hated' it," the news outlet wrote.

Cardona further claimed that she was wrongfully dismissed and is seeking millions of dollars in damages, TMZ added. Groening's attorney, on the other hand, said that they haven't seen the lawsuit yet and refused to issue a comment.

Courthouse News Service reported that Cardona was hired by Groening on Sept. 15, 2013 and was paid $25 per hour with no benefits. She attests that she worked for more than 40 hours a week, and was terminated five months later after she complained about her schedule, the publication noted. Cardona hails from Guatemala, Fox News Latino wrote.

Harry Shearer Leaves 'The Simpsons'

"The Simpson," which debuted in Fox in 1989, is now named as the longest-running scripted primetime American series, Fox News Latino reported. Last May, it was announced that Harry Shearer, one of the most prominent voice actors in the show, is leaving his characters after 26 seasons.

Shearer voiced Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Waylon Smithers, Otto, and Principle Skinner, among others, Mirror Online listed. In a tweet, the 71-year-old actor wrote that he has always wanted the "freedom to do other work," with the news outlet suggesting that Shearer's exit from "The Simpsons" was due to a contract disagreement. Aside from the animated series, Shearer also worked on "Saturday Night Live," "Spinal Tap," and "Abbott and Costello Go to Mars."

"The Simpsons" has been renewed for two more seasons up to 2017, Mirror Online reported. Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, and Hank Azaria are all returning for Seasons 27 and 28.
