Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nations is the choice if you're looking for a movie showing to go see this weekend. The fifth installment in the Mission: Impossible series sees Tom Cruise returning as special agent Ethan Hunt, with Alec Baldwin, Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames co-starring alongside him.

The film has an official release date of July 31, 2015 and is sure to be a hit with audiences of all ages when it hits theaters tomorrow, offering the action and intrigue characteristic of the franchise.

Movie viewers who want to see a strong female lead have reason to rejoice, as Tom Cruise's co-star Rebecca Ferguson, who plays the inscrutable, strong-willed British agent and femme fatale Ilsa Faust is receiving rave reviews (e.g. LA Times) for her performance in what could be her major Hollywood breakout role.

While the movie itself follows the "same basic formula as the rest of the Mission Impossibles, lady secret agent part included," reports E! Online, Ferguson's Faust does not conform to "run-of-the-mill Bond girl-style character with a pretty face and a purpose of simply playing out the romance storyline."

Instead, Ferguson as Faust plays a major role in the plotline, including saving Ethan Hunt's life in different scenarios around the world to taking down impossibly difficult hordes of bad guys, to foiling Hunt time and time again in head-to-head battles. It sounds like her fights, stunts, and on-screen appearance are going to add a spectacular quality to the movie and make her character a femme fatale for the ages.

Movie review website Rotten Tomatoes gave Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation a 93% rating, with an average rating of 7.6/10 and 122 reviews counted. Rotten Tomatoes praises Tom Cruise in his role as lead actor and anchor for the long-running franchise, saying "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation continues the franchise's thrilling resurgence - and proves that Tom Cruise remains an action star without equal."

Metacritic ranked the movie, which has a PG-13 rating and a runtime of 131 minutes, slightly worse than Rotten Tomatoes, giving it a 75 out of 100 indicating "generally favorable reviews" based on 39 critics. Go see it, decide for yourself, and let us know what you think!
