Kanye West's speech during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) reportedly thrilled the network that they plan to get him as host for the show next year. Sources revealed the plan is definitely on the cards for the rapper.

TMZ learned exclusively from insiders that the rapper's 12-minute tirade after accepting his "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the VMAs on Sunday entertained MTV so much that they have it "on the table" to have him as show host in 2016. According to the site, an MTV executive even followed Kanye to his dressing room after he left the stage to compliment him on his acceptance speech.

Despite the 28-year old reportedly badmouthing the network and award shows in general, MTV didn't stop him from continuing with his speech doing the live broadcast. According to TMZ, people at the boardroom were told not to interfere with Kanye's tirade, despite him going over his allowed two-minute duration, since the network found his speech entertaining.

Kanye's bizarre acceptance speech at the recent Video Music Awards reportedly ended with a declaration that he is running for U.S. President in 2020. Kanye's remark had the internet exploding with various hilarious memes both supporting and mocking the rapper's intent.

The rapper even got the support of his in-laws Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian, who took part in sharing photos of the rapper as a U.S. presidential candidate on their respective social media accounts. Khloe shared a photo of Kanye looking smart in a suit and tie on her Twitter page and captioned it, "Mr West!!!" The photo also contains the slogan "Mr. West For President."

Kylie on the other hand shared an Instagram photo of Kanye dressed in a white hooded shirt with his arms outstretched. The rapper had his eyes closed and had a happy smile on his face.  Kylie did not caption the photo but it has since received over one million likes and 34 thousand comments since it was shared on Monday.

According to Daily Mail, Kanye's vie for U.S. presidency came after he interrupted then U.S. President George Bush on national TV on Sept. 2, 2005. The 28-year old and actor Mike Meyers were guests on a TV campaign for the benefit of the victims of hurricane Katrina, when he reportedly said on live TV that President Bush does not care about the black people. He then walked off the stage right after.
