Apple, Inc. is looking to expand its line of stellar tablets with a larger tablet called the iPad Pro. Coming in at a superb 12.9-inch screen, the iPad Pro is Apple's largest tablet to date.

According to Tech Radar, the rumored iPad Pro looks is relatively bigger than Apple's current 9.7-inch iPad Air 2 and 7.9-inch iPad Mini 3. The upcoming tablet will feature superior touchscreen technology according to the Tech Radar report. The report with Tech Radar further explained that Apple will be employing a new glass-film-film (GFF) touchscreen that will be used on the iPad Pro. This new form of technology would reportedly improve touchscreen accuracy. The technology used on the iPad Pro would be a step up above the current glass film used on the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.

Because of the superior touchscreen technology, the iPad Pro will be supporting a Bluetooth stylus. This would be in direct competition with rival Samsung's Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. The iPad Pro is said to be a productivity-centered tablet, which would greatly appeal to those busy business people who don't want to be bothered with carrying a heavy laptop.

The iPad Pro will run on iOS 9 and will sports features like split-screen multitasking and picture-in-window videos. With iOS 9's improved keyboard feature, iPad Pro users can enjoy enhanced support from Bluetooth keyboards.

According to Apple Insider, the mega-tablet is expected to sport a massive 12-inch display. Leaked pictures have already surfaced, suggesting that the tablet's screen would go up to 12.9 inches. The iPad Pro's screen is said to have a resolution of 2,048 x 2,732 pixels, which is a step-up on Apple's current Retina display offerings.

While the rumored iPad Air 3 will sport a thin 6mm body, the iPad Pro may most likely measure in at 7mm. The mega-tablet is rumored to include several iPad Air 2 features such as 2GB of RAM, Touch ID and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

Recent rumors have conflicting information on the iPad Pro's release. It was initially thought that the iPad Pro will be unveiled alongside the iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini 4 in September. However, it is most likely that the mega-tablet will be unveiled sometime in October.

With regards to price, there is no current information available at this time. It is expected to cost more than the introductory price of the iPad Air 2 which comes in at $499.
