Apple Inc. is yet to roll out its brand new line of products during the upcoming event on September 9. There are already rumors of what is to be 'the thinnest smartphone' which is scheduled to be released next year.

According to Mac Rumors, industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 7 may very well be the thinnest iPhone to date. There are rumors that the iPhone 7 will come with a thickness of roughly between 6.0mm and 6.5mm. This is a near comparison of the iPod touch's 6.1mm. To note, the current the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are 6.9mm and 7.1mm thick, respectively. The new iPhone 7 will be relatively thinner than the current iPad Air 2.

While the new iPhone's slimmer build won't account for much now, it will certainly make a difference in one's pocket. Moreover, Progress-Index reports that the iPhone 7 will also feature the Force Touch 3D feature which will be initially available to this year's iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

The analyst further said that n the long run, Apple, Inc. would utilize a glass-on-glass solution for force touch. This will most likely not be featured on the iPhone 7 as the current technology limitations would prevent an iPhone with glass-on-glass force touch to be less than 6 millimeters thick.

The iPhone 7 will also see a major makeover compared to its predecessors. With its brand new slim build, the iPhone 7 will most likely see a major revamp from the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus models. The slimmest iPhone will be running on iOS 10, as speculated by Apple analysts.

The iPhone 7 will undergo a bold new design while featuring a relatively larger screen with slimmed-down bezels. The slim iPhone would also boast of a dual-lens camera. The phone might also have enhanced security features and a revamped Siri. Wireless charging is also a noted feature of the iPhone 7, which will put an end to many frayed cable woes. Not to be outdone, the iPhone 7 will feature QHD Retina display, making for gorgeous resolution. The iPhone 7 will most likely run on an A10 chip with a crisp 16MP camera, wiping out the competition.

Apple will most likely release the iPhone 7 in September of next year. As of now, Apple, Inc. will be holding an event on September 9 where many are speculating that the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, among others, will be released. It also marks the release of iOS 9. which boasts of feature optimization and performance enhancements, such as a splot-screen multi-tasking keyboard and intelligent Siri.  

Apple has yet to address these rumors.
