Jon Snow's shocking fate in the season finale of "Game of Thrones" left many fans of the fantasy series devastated. Despite being a fan favorite, Snow was not safe from being left to a horrible fate.

In a report with Movie Pilot, Jon Snow might be returning in "Game of Thrones" Season 6. Kit Harington, who plays Snow in the show has reportedly been seen on set in Saintfield, Northern Ireland. Fans have already taken this as a sign that Jon Snow lives in the upcoming season. New of Harington's appearance on set caused a stir on Twitter, causing it to trend online.

Not to be outdone, Harington himself teased of Jon Snow's possible fate in the series. While he did not explicitly divulge Jon Snow's fate, he did say something that left many "Game of Thrones" fans with a glimmer of hope.

"Let's just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over. One thing's for sure: the day I'm no longer on Thrones is the day I'll bury myself in movie projects" said Harington in an interview with Humo, a Dutch magazine.

The Independent reports that Harington is certainly sticking around filming scenes that would normally be used for flashbacks or even a funeral scene. There are speculations that Melisandre will be involved in Jon Snow's "possible resurrection". There are even speculations that Jon Snow might return as a White Walker.

Whether or not Jon Snow lives or dies or lives on as just a passing cameo or a zombie, it is Harington who knows Jon Snow's exact fate and as of the moment, he seems to be keeping things under wraps.

"I often felt frustrated as well," said Harington. "I had to pass on amazing parts because I was attached to "Game of Thrones". So the show is like a double-edged sword to me: I owe a lot to it, but, at the same time, it has almost completely drained me. Oh well, I try not to think about it too much."

At the moment, there is no word as to what Jon Snow's exact fate is. Fans are even speculating that Harington's secrecy is merely a "ruse" and that the actor did hint that he is on board the show for at least two more seasons. Until then, Jon Snow's supposed death remains in the air.

"Game of Thrones" is set to return for its sixth season on April 2016 on HBO.
