Metal Gear Solid 5 is awaited with baited breath by fans of the series, and the game is set to appear both on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One generation of consoles as well as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as well. Series creator Hideo Kojima recently spoke on Twitter about the debate and gave some insight into how the game will different on different consoles.

Kojima revealed that he feels that all the different versions of the game will have some appeal to gamers, and there are reasons to buy the current gen version of the game as opposed to the next gen Metal gear Solid 5:

"I've been asked which ver u should buy. The feel of play & impression's similar as it's been made multiplatform/multigen this time. Sense of realism & graphics looks much better in next gen. So I'd say current-gen for those who can't buy next gen just yet & upgrade later...FYI, the world ranking of mission result/trial grade in GZ differs to each platform. The feel of play/difficulty levels are the same as we consider slight difference parts found in each hardware, controls or frame rate."

The legendary developer brings up some good points, while at the same time emphasizing that no versions of Metal Gear Solid 5 is significantly weaker than the other. While the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One offer more graphical power, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 have a larger user base for leader boards and may have better gameplay due to Konami having experience developing on the consoles.
Another potential factor for deciding which console fans buy Metal Gear Solid 5 on is the separate prologue being released ahead of the game, call Metal gear Solid 5: ground Zeroes. This prologue will introduce the gameplay mechanics for the game, including the new open world of the game. In addition, players will be able to check out the Fox Engine and the day/night cycle and dynamic weather conditions that will be a part of Metal gear Solid 5 as a whole. Ground Zeroes will be offered on online stores for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $20, as well as a physical game for $30 on those consoles. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will only have the game offered for $30, so gamers on a budget may want to buy the game on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
