The Gilmore Girls' Returns to TV! UP Network to Air Marathons of the Popular Mother Daughter Show

The beloved mother-daughter TV show "Gilmore Girls" will be making its way back to TV. The fan-favorite series will begin airing in a marathon by the UP Network. 

In a report with New York Daily News, the beloved show about free-spirited Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel). The pair has a charming relationship and remains close, having only had each other as Rory grew up. The comedy-drama series had a seven-season run before ending in May 2007, but the series still has a huge fan base. 

Fans of the series couldn't get enough of Lorelai's antics as she schools Rory in the lessons of life. Viewers would remember that Lorelai is a single mother who raises Rory on her own until Rory has to go to Chilton Preparatory School, so Lorelai is forced to ask help from her estranged and rich parents.

Lorelai also has a history of romantic entanglements, which are also part of the show's plot. Having been pregnant at sixteen, Lorelai has some brief romantic encounters throughout the course of the series. In turn, Rory has her own share of romantic relationships which would complicate Rory's life, at times.   

"Gilmore Girls is a fan-favorite series that retains a very large and passionate following," said Sophia Kelley, who is the Senior Vice President of UP Network. 

"The strong and loving mother-daughter relationship portrayed in 'Gilmore Girls' is a beautiful testament to the wonderful power of family drama. The series is a perfect fit for our brand of family entertainment." Kelley added. 

Seventeen Magazine added that UP Network can only be found on Verizon Fios, Dish, and DirectTV. The network acquired all seven seasons of the comedy drama. Many fans who grew up watching the series would find characters like Lorelai and Rory unforgettable. There was something in the mother-daughter tandem that viewers would find ideal. A huge number of fans found the mother-daughter tandem and their adventures in the quaint town of Stars Hollow to be adorable. 

Stars like Melissa McCarthy, Milo Ventimiglia, Kelly Bishop, Jared Padalecki and Matt Czuchry were among the regulars of the show. Other actors like Brandon Routh, Max Greenfield, Jane Lynch, and Victoria Justice all had bit roles in the show before moving on towards superstardom. The series was praised by both critics and audiences alike during its seven season run. 

'Gilmore Girls' will begin airing on UP Network on October 5.
