Wesley Snipes thinks it could be interesting for his day-walking vampire hunter character "Blade" to fight alongside the Avengers.

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, more characters from the comic books are introduced.

This means, according to Cinema Blend, that it would not be impossible for the "Blade" to join the band of superheroes considering that fact that even 53-year-old actor Wesley Snipes seems to like the idea.

"There's always a possibility, you know. It's in Marvel's hands. They're controlling the pace and the flow with that. Conversations have been good. They see the value in it. We see the value in it," he told the Huffington Post while promoting his latest NBC show "The Player."

He further expound his thoughts on the idea by admitting that he would still be able to play the role for Marvel's action-packed movies.

"I'm still in shape enough and fit enough to handle the role. We'll see how it goes. I don't really know what's going to happen to it yet," he added.

Having the "Blade" in the MCU can be quite interesting, but it seems that having him in the "Avengers" franchise seem to interest Snipes more.

"That would be interesting. I mean, I know it's in the comic book. It would be interesting to see where they would place him and where he really would fit in," he explained in response to HuffPost Live host Zerlina Maxwell's query on whether the actor wants his character integrated in the superhero team.

But considering that his character is a vampire, there is still the issue of who he is going to bite.

"He's got to bite somebody. I don't know who he's going to bite," he added.

According to Cinema Blend, the comic book version of the Blade had fought alongside several Avengers members in a couple of instances and was even included in the "Mighty Avengers" where he is known as "Ronin."

Aside from that, the outlet also noted the Blade's direct and official involvement with the team in the Ultimate comics where the day-walking vampire hunter aided S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Nick Fury in stopping a vampire invasion.

However, all of these remained a dream both for Snipes and "Blade" fans as the studio have yet to confirm such idea.

According to a Cinema Blend report last month, Marvel Studios is considering a new "Blade" film which would focus on the daughter of Snipes' Eric Brooks.

The outlet also revealed that Marvel has also already reacquired the rights to the "Blade" franchise.
