Avril Lavigne is indeed going through a tough time, yet she recently proved that she can manage to get up and "take care of herself" through some Instragram snaps uploaded on Tuesday.

The singer has been very open with her health condition lately and shared an update of how she is battling Lyme disease which she believed she got from a tick bite in the spring of 2014, according to an EOnline report.

In her Instagram account, the 30-year-old singer shared a photo of herself brimming with positive aura as she smiles over an examination table, presumably after blood tests and check-up. She included a caption and referenced her own song, Fly, saying that "This journey continues..... Just reach up, don't give up until you've touch the sky ..... We were all meant to fly ...."

The singer also shared a picture of her band-aided arm along with 13 vials of blood and included a caption on her image that says "On my way to good health #TakingCareOfMyself #F*ckLymeDisease"

In a report, DailyMail describes Avril to be in a casual outfit for her doctor's visit and walked in a cute flipflops that spelled "LOVE". Despite her condition, Avril appeared to make the best out of her situation, DailyMail also says.

Avril may have worn adorable flops that spelled out "LOVE" but aside from her health condition, her romantic life has been on the rocks recently. Just two weeks ago, Avril said that she and her husband, Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger, have called it quits, the report by DailyMail also says.

"It is with a heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today," Avril said in an Instagram post last September 2, along with a picture of the couple happily holding each other's hands. "Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support," Avril added.

Recently, Avril admitted that the disease made her bed-ridden for five months, the DailyMail report adds.

"I could barely eat, and when we went to the pool, I had to leave and go lie in bed," Avril said. The singer also told E Online that she "felt lethargic and lightheaded for a while". "My friends asked, 'What's wrong?' I didn't know," Avril added.
