JetBlue got into the holiday spirit and spread some cheer to those trying to get home for the holidays. The airline surprised some lucky would-be travelers with free flights back to their families, according to Mashable

The airline perused Craiglist's rideshare community board for people searching for a ride to their friends and families' homes before Dec. 25. The company decided to reach out to a few lucky people, and video chatted with them before asking them if they could get someone to drive them to an airport.

Most of the people were confused by the questions until JetBlue revealed that they did not have plans to drive them to their destinations; they were going to fly them to wherever they wanted to go for no cost. JetBlue is calling it #FlyItFoward.

WestJet airline also went viral in early December for giving passengers everything on their holiday wish lists, including free electronics, clothes and flights back home.

JetBlue has released an ad of the JetBlue employees surprising the unsuspecting Craigslist users with free flights. Some may have been a bit skeptical at first, but quickly realized that they were receiving the priceless gift of being with family and friends for the holidays.
