"Harry Potter Fans" will only want more of the wizarding world, and it seems that there are two parts of a play that they can look forward to.

In a recent announcement by creator JK Rowling, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" will be released in two parts, making it the first play installment from a franchise to be split into parts, as noted by ComicBook.com.

In her Twitter announcement, Rowling said, "Due to the epic nature of the story we've been working on, Harry Potter & the #CursedChild will be in two parts!"

This is only the latest in a series of news from the British author -- she had been busy updating the wizarding world lately, with the production of the franchise's spin-off film, a background of The Potter Family, and the first day of Hogwarts for Harry and Ginny's son.

"Cursed Child" playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany also released their official statement on PottermoreThorne said about the decision to split the show, "Obviously I loved it when we decided to tell this story in two parts because I got to spend more time with the characters and what an honor that has been."

He added, "It continues to be unbelievable and amazing that I've been given this extraordinary chance to bring Harry Potter to the stage. As a fan, who just devoured the books and the films, this couldn't be more exciting for me."

Tiffany shared his excitement about the upcoming project, saying, "I've never worked on anything quite like this before." He went on to note how vast the project is. "It shares a scale and ambition with all the Harry Potter stories so in order to do this justice we have decided to present the play in two parts," but he hopes he's up for the job.

Thorne added, "I just hope we do it justice. I'm so constantly aware of respecting the previous seven stories...I hope people love this play like they loved the books. Everything we do is with that in mind."

According to the play's official website, both parts are meant to be seen in order on the same day or on two consecutive evenings. Casting has not been announced yet, but the rest of the crew has already been announced: Christine Jones will head set designs, and costumes will be made by Katrina Lindsay. Music is by Imogen Heap, with the musical supervision of Martin Lowe.

"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender's Playground Entertainment, and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions will premiere in London's West End at the Palace Theatre Summer 2016.
