Slipknot's metal lord Corey Taylor is set to grace BBC's "Doctor Who" next week. The 41-year-old vocalist will guest star the British science-fiction series as "Fisher King's" voice.

"You have NO idea how hard it's been to keep this awesome secret..." the musician said on his Twitter page. The author is set to lend his "deafening roar" to an alien warlord "Fisher King," who will try to destroy the Time Lord, Peter Capaldi.

According to Mirror, the actor is, actually, a big fan of the British television program. The producers of the show heard the heavy metal band played at Cardiff in January and got interested on Corey's powerful, screaming vocal chords.

"Production got in touch with Slipknot because they heard Corey and the band love the show," an insider told the publication. "They gave them a VIP tour and asked if Corey wanted to record his famous scream."

The source added that the frontman quickly agreed on the proposal and "was made up about it." "We needed an awesome roar for the Fisher King," Derek Ritchie, the program's producer, told BBC Newsbeat.

"He has one of the most well-known screams in the history of music," he added. "We now have the most incredible roar for our incredible monster! He now sounds as terrifying as he looks!"

Meanwhile, Mirror also reported that the new villain, who looks like a green hulk creature with horns protruding from his body, will appear on the soap next Saturday. The antagonist will be played by the talent British, Neil Fingleton, who stand 7ft 7in, and will be voiced by Shaun of the Dead's Peter Serafinowicz.

But, the "Wait and Bleed" hitmaker will give life to its horrific scream, which adds another scare. Additionally, it is not the first time that the 60 million record seller will venture in the world of acting.

To recall, the lyricist of Stone Sour starred in the horror movie "Fear Clinic" in 2014. The film was about a doctor, who tried to heal his patients' trauma using "extreme methods," as noted by BBC.

Additionally, Jenna Coleman, who played as Clara Oswald, revealed that she will leave her character and "Doctor Who" on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw earlier this month.

"It will happen at some point this season," the 29-year-old told the host. "It's been in the works for a very long time."

BBC added that Corey's scream will be heard in episode four, starting on Oct. 10.
