Rumors surrounding "Grand Theft Auto 6," Rockstar's purported sequel to "Grand Theft Auto 5," continue to excite anticipating players.

While there are already talks of "GTA 6" in the works, fans are still playing and purchasing "GTA 5." A report from Neuro Gadget says Rockstar already has a solid plan in development for the follow-up to the 2013 game. However, it could mean that it will take few years for such sequel to be in development.

That being said, it's easy to point that Rockstar is taking its time in crafting the franchise's next installment. Can gamers expect new stuff, then?

As cited by Parent Herald, "GTA 6" will be offering "job-like" features, which will be first in the franchise. The outlet also noted that the sixth installment of the famed car chase RPG will provide gamers with more income-generating missions, such as "getting a career in the army or police force," because it will give  gamers a more authentic feel.

"GTA 6" is expected to be available in next-gen consoles. Rockstar has certainly made it no secret that it focuses mainly on current platforms such as the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC, over its still-popular predecessors.

However, these snippets of information remain rumors as of this writing, because Rockstar has yet to disclose details for the upcoming game. President Leslie Benzies said in an earlier interview with IGN that the creative team has invested a lot if ideas into the working title of the game's sequel.

"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what GTA 6 will be, but we've got some ideas," said Benzies in the interview.

Benzies even went so far as to disclose the locations of the game's sequel, citing London as a big possibility. "For this one we were down in London and the idea of the three characters popped up again. We'd actually considered it for 'San Andreas' because there were three cities, but it didn't work from a tech point of view because the three characters need three times as much memory, three types of animation, and so on."

Benzies also said that the three primary characters in "GTA 5" will be coming back to the sequel.

"We throw stuff in the pot, and the good stuff stays and the bad stuff disappears - there are a lot of gatekeepers at the studio, who ensure not much of the chaff makes it through," he said. "Some of the good ideas, like the three characters, stick around."

Gamers should expect "GTA 6" to hit the shelves sometime in 2018.
