Looks like Amanda Bynes will get off scot free from her long-running two-year-old DUI in California.

The case, which was back in court Tuesday, will more than likely be resolved without any jail time, say inside sources, according to the New York Daily News.

LA County Judge Edward Moreton Jr. said he wanted to get the ball rolling again in the case and set a new pre-trial hearing for Feb. 20.

Although Bynes' lawyer declined to speak to reporters, sources say both sides in the case are looking to work out a plea deal and avoid a trial.

After spending months at a luxurious rehabilitation facility called The Canyon, the troubled star appears to be a lot healthier and happier since being released into her parents' care last month. Her recent behavior is a complete 180 from when she shamelessly sported a messy platinum blonde wig in public and in court, shaved her head and had multiple run-ins with the law throughout 2013.

She was finally committed to a psychiatric hospital on July 22, 2013 after setting fire to a stranger's driveway around the corner from her parents' home. She was also rumored to have been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

A couple of weeks ago, the former child star, who has expressed an interest in pursuing a fashion career, was spotted touring the Orange County campus of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Bynes is "now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design," said her lawyer Tamar Arminak. "She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."

On Christmas day, the "Hairspray" star was also spotted taking a stroll outside with her parents, Rick and Lynn, and their dogs in Thousand Oaks, Calif.  She was wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans, pink sneakers and sunglasses, reports E! News
