Christmas isn't over for Xbox One and Xbox 360 Owners—Call of Duty: Ghosts will release a new DLC, "Onslaught," on Jan. 28.

Developer Infinity Ward confirmed the news through the game's Instagram account, posting a brief teaser trailer for the DLC, as well as a message confirming the DLC's name.

"Something menacing is coming Jan. 28. Get ready for the #Onslaught," Infinity Ward posted on Instagram.

The teaser shows a trailer and a spooky looking house while red tinted images show a first-person view of someone wandering around with an axe, all while the theme music from "Halloween" plays in the background. All of which seems to indicate the new set of DLC will be more horror themed than some fans might expect from Ghosts, considering that the game does not have the popular Zombies Mode found in other Call of Duty games.

"Onslaught" is the first gameplay DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts, and will be covered by the game's season pass. Previously, the only other DLC put out for the game was a cosmetic DLC pack that allowed users to change their guard dog killstreak animal into a wolf similar to the Direwolves found in "Game of Thrones."

Despite the teaser trailer from Infinity Ward, not much has been confirmed about what will be available in the "Onslaught" DLC. IGN reports that Infinity Ward has confirmed that spiders will be added as an enemy in Extinction Mode. In addition, a new map called Nightfall has been confirmed as part of the DLC. However, Twitter user SeriousSix2010 posted a picture allegedly from a Gamestop display that reveals that there will be five new maps added to the game through the "Onslaught" DLC including the previously confirmed Nightfall map. The four other rumored maps are called Fog, Containment, Bayview and Ignition. Besides these rumored maps, some also speculate that a new Maverick AR and sniper rifle will be inserted into the game through the DLC.

Once the Jan. 28 release date draws closer, Infinity Ward will surely confirm what fans will be able to expect from the new DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Expect the "Onslaught" DLC to hit other consoles 30 days after Jan. 28, as is typical of the series.
