ABC's hit political series "Scandal" is scheduled to return next month with an all-new episode that promises to elevate the show to a new level of crazy.

In a promo of the upcoming episode, which is titled "Ride Sally Ride," Olivia Pope is seen being bombarded by the paparazzi. First Lady Mellie Grant and Olivia have a sit down giving Mellie the opportunity to tell Olivia in a very sarcastic voice to smile because, "the world is watching." The camera then pans to the window where photographers are snapping tons of photos of her, indicating that something intense has occurred.

In the meantime, Harrison seems worried about a potential threat and a quick shot of Jake reminds us that he's in command now. However, the question as to whether Mellie is attempting to woo Olivia back to the Grant reelection team still remains. Plus, there's a chance that Liv may take the offer now that she knows that Fitz didn't kill her mom.

The presidential election will be a huge focus in the remaining episodes of Season 3 of the series and Mellie will be right by President Fitz's side during his re-election. However, TVLine reports that "The Closer" and "Major Crimes" actor Jon Tenney will join the cast as the FLOTUS' rumored love interest who will shake things up between her relationship with Fitz.

Bellamy Young, who plays the role of Mellie, dropped hints about what to expect, telling TV Guide, "We're [Fitz and Mellie] going to spend a lot of time with the campaign, so it's the machinations of trying to get us back in the White House for another four years."

She added that her rumored love interest will "throw a wrench in the works in the very best of ways."

"Scandal" will return with S3E11 on Thursday, Feb. 27 on ABC.
