Is Grand Theft Auto finally coming to the PC? If a newly leaked report is accurate, we may see the latest game in the hugely popular franchise hitting the PC in the near future.

Grand Theft Auto 5 was one of the most popular games in 2014, but some fans were upset that the game was only available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and not on the PC like previous games in the series. Though fans have tried to convince developer Rockstar to port the game to the PC through a petition, the company has not announced plans to bring the game to the platform.

In a bug log of the game recently leaked on a Google Drive account, there were 170 mentions of PC development bugs within the game, according to PC Gamer

In the document, five different builds of the game that were tested from April 2009 to August 2013 were cataloged, and a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 was first mentioned as far back as June 2012. The document looks to be legitimate as Rockstar employees such as programmer Robert Schmitz and senior level designer Kenneth Ross have annotations on the log and proprietary Rockstar management systems are also referenced.

Of the 170 PC mentions in the bug log, some refer to interesting features that could be seen in the game if Rockstar does indeed bring Grand Theft Auto 5 to the PC. DirectX 11 support is mentioned, along with a smog weather setting to add further weather effects to the world of Los Santos. With this new bug log leak it looks almost certain that PC fans will be able to play Grand Theft Auto 5 in the not too distant future.

Grand Theft Auto 5 has been a huge success for Rockstar, despite some initial hiccups. The game managed to overcome a turbulent launch that saw its online mode experience a huge amount bugs, including errors that had players losing their character data and vehicles in the game. Now those bugs are gone and Rockstar has released a steady stream of free DLC for the game to help expand the already massive world even further.

Look out for more Grand Theft Auto 5 news right here as more DLC for the game is released and PC rumors continue to swirl.
