Manny Pacquiao's preparation for his clash with Timothy Bradley Jr. hit a snag last week, after several members of his training camp discovered deadly snakes in the facility where the former eight-division world champion was training, multiple sources reported Friday.

Pacquiao, 35, kicked off his training camp last week under the supervision of longtime friend Buboy Fernandez, engaging in a number of drills.

However, his training camp was derailed when members of his camp found that the Acharon Sports complex was infested with poisonous snakes. In fact, one dog was killed after it was bitten by one of the serpents lurking in the sports complex.

Pacquiao's camp found the discovery disconcerting, especially concerning the safety of the former pound-for-pound champion as well as his upcoming sparring mates like Kendall Holt, Steve Forbes and possibly former-foe-turned-friend Miguel Cotto.

Pacquiao has already made a request to the local government to clear out the area and make sure that no deadly snakes are in the area.

The former king of boxing has been heavily focused for the past few days in training, Fernandez told the Philippine Star.

Fernandez, who has been Pacquiao's closest trainer, said the Filipino boxing champ engaged in seven rounds with the gloves and continues to work on his endurance as his training camp officially begins upon the arrival of Roach this week.

"Pacman" has been tabbed as the favorite to beat Bradley in their second encounter, but the undefeated fighter dubbed "Desert Storm" is appearing stronger than ever following his sensational wins against Ruslan Provodnikov and Juan Manuel Marquez.

The Pacquiao vs. Bradley II WBO Welterweight Championship bout will take place on April 12 at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nev.
