The fifth annual installment of Hispanicize—which bills itself as "largest annual event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in social media, journalism, advertising, PR, film, music and innovation"—will be held between April 1 and April 4 at the InterContinental Miami hotel in downtown Miami.

The event will be co-chaired by Maria Hinajosa of NPR's "Latino USA" and Pat Pineda, Group Vice President of the Hispanic Business Strategy Group of Toyota Motor North America. Organizers expect more than 1,700 industry leaders to attend the four-day conference.

New on the menu this year will be a partnership between the Hispanicize event and Vme, a national Spanish-language television network that is affiliated with public television stations. Vme crews will be on-site broadcasting Hispanicize events nationwide.

The station reports that it will have extensive focus on the Positive Impact Awards, which recognize "everyday Latinos who go above and beyond the call of duty to give back to their community." Additionally, the Hispanicize Latinovator Award will be bestowed upon singer/musician Sheila E., Cuban dissident blogger Yoani Sanchez and NPR journalist Maria Hinojosa.

"Having the support of Vme TV, which shares our ideals and vision of higher quality programming for Hispanics, is a great opportunity to expand our reach and disseminate the message that all Latinos can make a difference," said Hispanicize 2014 organizer and creative director Manny Ruiz in a release.

Also new for Hispanicize 2014 will be 20 live-streamed sit-down interview sessions with top Hispanic brand executives via Google. These sessions are expected to be held in a "studio-like" setting with 20 attendees or less at each sitting.

Other planned events include the unveiling of campaigns, the release of research studies and interaction with representatives of more than 20 different top-tier brands and media companies.

"In terms of Hispanic marketing industry event, anybody can compare to see that there's no better event for marketers in terms of substance, practical insights, actionable advice, research and Hispanic brands than Hispanicize 2014," Ruiz stated. "From top to bottom, Hispanicize is the place where brands go to learn about trends and meet the trend setters, all in a fun, festive atmosphere that has no peer."
