The Miami Heat appears to have a serious problem on its hands this summer- LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are not interested in taking pay cuts, a source close to situation disclosed on Friday.

The Heat, gunning for their third consecutive NBA Championship this season, face big questions about how to keep their nucleus intact for another run at the title in the next three to five years.

James, Wade and Bosh are all expected to opt out of their contracts and test the free agency market while in the prime of their careers.

Like the Miami Heat Big Three, NY Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony is also certain to test free agency this offseason. The high-scoring small forward has been putting up huge numbers this year, but his effort has not been enough to put the Knicks in playoff contention.

Steve Kyler of Basketball Insider provided a shred of hope of the possibility of a Big Four team-up in South Beach by providing a breakdown on the money James, Wade, Bosh and Anthony would have to take for the creation of a "Super Power" in Miami.

"The Miami Heat have just $2.038 million in guaranteed contracts next summer," wrote Kyler. "All three of Miami's major stars can opt out and create massive flexibility for Miami, not only in re-setting the luxury tax clock for the HEAT to continue their run at championships, but making it possible for Miami to make a run at Anthony. Depending on what each is willing to re-sign for, the Heat could have anywhere between $57 and $60 million to work with in free agency."

A recent report in The New York Daily News indicated the Heat's Big Three will not accept lower paychecks this summer, possibly bringing their championship caliber era to a close.

"The only buzz is that Miami's Big Three is past the point of taking fewer dollars than it can get," reports Mitch Lawrence of thw New York Daily News. "The days of James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh sacrificing millions for the good of the team are over, according to well-placed Heat sources. So that could play into what Miami could give Anthony, if it would even be interested in his services."
