Eiza González's dedication to her craft can't be questioned.

The 24-year-old actress, who starred in the telenovela "Amores Verdaderos," will be seen next on the Robert Rodriguez's show "From Dusk Till Dawn," based on the movie of the same name. The new series premieres Tuesday, March 11.

González is playing Santanico Pandemonium, a role first brought to life on the big screen by Salma Hayek.

"In the movie, you see Salma Hayek's body, and it's intimidating," she said, according to Tvnovelas.com. "They wanted me to look much more Latina and much more womanly."

González revealed that she gained 13 pounds for the role. She said she wanted to look curvier and sexier on screen.

"I gained 13 pounds. I wanted to look real," she said. "And I didn't hesitate to eat. Now, I feel much more womanly. My butt and boobs grew."

Gaining weight was not the most challenging part of the role, González said. Actually, it was recording the dance that catapulted Salma Hayek into fame.

"I was nervous, but not because of the choreography or having to dance with a snake," she said. "It was because I had to dance in front of men, something I had never done. But when I started, I felt more confident with my body, and started to feel sexier. Everything flowed for the scene. And gaining weight helped."

When González arrived in Los Angeles, she thought no one would know her, but the producers were interested in Mexican actors. She also gained attention whe she dated Liam Hemsworth after he and Miley Cyrus' broke off their engagement. The relationship was short-lived.

"I don't worry about what is said about me. I am much more focused on being on par with my scene partner, and that though English is not my first language I can master it without any problems," she said.

The show also stars Wilmer Valderrama, DJ Cotrona and Zane Holtz.
