Rumor has it that the next MacBook Pro might just arrive with Apple's latest Mac operating system, the OS X Yosemite.

According to IT Pro, the rumor is highly likely given that Apple has just unveiled the OS at this year's WWDC. Should the rumor indeed be true, the new Mac OS will definitely give the next MacBook Pro one big refresh.

IT Pro notes that with the OS X Yosemite on the MacBook Pro, the laptop will be able to make use of the new operating system's features such as "HandOff" which "allows users to switch from an iPad/iPhone to a Mac mid-task and continue working on  a document or email." The feature reportedly makes use of "proximity awareness" to make the effortless switch possible.

Additionally, a MacBook Pro with OS X Yosemite will also be capable of a slew of other tasks like accepting and making calls on their iPhones through their Macs, make use of the AirDrop file sharing system, deposit files in the iCloud and later on access them via any Apple device and "send attachments up to 5GB in size" by using MailDrop, reports IT Pro.

Aside from a rumored OS X Yosemite-run MacBook Pro, rumors also suggest that Apple's next laptop will ship with the new Intel Core M Broadwell processor. The International Business Times says that the 14nm chip will most likely pave way for a fanless MacBook Pro this year.

The outlet quotes Intel via 9to5Mac as saying, "The Intel® CoreTM M processor will deliver the most energy-efficient Intel Core processor in the company's history. The majority of designs based on this new chip are expected to be fanless..."

IT Pro notes that Intel has faced delay in production after the company opted to manufacture 14nm chips instead of 22nm. "Brian Krzanich, Intel's CEO, has promised that Broadwell devices will be ready in time for the Christmas holidays, but declined to be more specific," the outlet reports.

With the tipped Intel chip schedule, it is highly likely that the MacBook Pro will still be able to make it for a Q4 reveal, a quarter late compared to KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo's prediction.

The current-generation 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro had a $199 price drop at Amazon and B&H Photo, reports MacRumors.  Instead of $1799, the Apple laptop is now tagged $1599.99, reportedly the lowest price ever for the device.

Is the price drop any indication that we'll be seeing an all-new MacBook Pro anytime soon? Share your thoughts below.
