In honor of her late pet dog, Floyd, Miley Cyrus adds more ink to her body, with her latest dog tattoo. 

On Instagram, The 21-year-old singer posted photos that were taken during her recent tattoo session. Some of Miley's pals, Wayne Coyne and Katy Weaver also posed while showing off the same dog tattoo, bearing the words, "WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FWENDS."

Gawker recalls that the "Bangerz" singer got Floyd, an Alaskan Klee Kain, in 2011. According to Daily Mail, Floyd died last April due to a coyote attack.

It was obvious that Floyd was her favorite dog -- some of her Twitter posts in the past were all about Floyd.

Even before the dog tattoo, Miley also gave a tribute to her most beloved dog during her concert, held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. She sang for the late Floyd, with a huge inflatable that looks exactly like her deceased pet.

After Floyd died, Miley's mom, Tish, gave her Moonie, a Yorkie mix, but she wasn't ready to take care of another small dog. Miley sent the dog to live with a different family after several weeks, reports, The Daily Mail.

"Moonie, thank you for giving me so much love, comfort, & peace. It's just to soon for me right now #missingmoonie," the young singer-songwriter posted on Twitter.

Hollywood Life reveals that during a "Bangerz" concert special, the former "Hannah Montana" star shed tears while talking about her horrible experience upon losing Floyd. 

"I still talk about him like he's here. So I haven't really accepted it fully. I think if I do that then he might actually like, go at some point. Which I don't really want," Hollywood Life quoted the singer as saying. 

But is seems all's well with the singer as E! Online reports that Miley has a new dog named Emu. 

"I welcomed Emu Coyne Cyrus into the family a couple days ago. Been keepin him a secret cause sometimes I'm weird like that. It's taken some time to be ready for this next step and loving again. There will never be anyone like Floyd. There was a bond that was so deep it's irreplaceable but that's not what I am trying to do. Never will I replace Floyd and that's something I had to take time to understand," the singer said on Instagram. 

According to Defamer, Miley owns a few dogs, namely: Bean (chihuahua mix), Penny Lane (tiny mix), Mary Jane (black-and-white mix) and Happy (Rottweiler-beagle mix).

The "Bangerz" tour's next stop will be in Australia in October.
