A new tip suggests that the rumored iPad Pro will be out fall of this year but it seems that there are mixed reports on when the bigger Apple tablet may roll out.

The report, coming from Taiwanese news outlet Economic Daily News via Tech Times, claims that the alleged fall release date for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is pushing through amid previous reports of the device allegedly being put on hold.

In March, DigiTimes reported that Apple has "shelved its large-size tablet project," with the project in question presumed to be the iPad Pro. According to the outlet, such large-size tablets "face difficulties because of lack of support from related platform developers and ecosystems."

But now, the new Economic Daily News report claims that Apple does not have plans of hitting pause on the alleged iPad Pro. In fact, as quoted by BGR, the Taiwanese outlet says that Apple is launching the 12.9-inch tablet alongside a new 9.7-inch iPad Air and a new 7.9-inch iPad Mini.

BGR adds that the foreign news portal says "TPK will supply next-gen touch sensors for all new iPad and iWatch models released this year."

Although Economic Daily News is claiming a fall release date for the alleged 12.9-inch iPad, GigJets reports that an early 2015 release date is "the most realistic" guess. Apple's current focus, according to GigJets, is allegedly a bigger iPhone.

GigJets says that even a 2016 release date for a bigger iPad is plausible and that such device holds potential utility in fields such as architecture, medicine, engineering and drawing among many others.

In May, a purported leaked photo of the iPad Pro casing made its way to Chinese social media site Weibo. The photo, later republished by Nowhereelse.fr, seems grainy though it appears to have the Apple logo in the center of what is believed to be the rear casing.

The French website notes that the rumored casing looked more like a mold for making tablet cases rather than the initially believed rear casing.

Little else is known about the specs and features of the 12.9-inch Apple tablet but as noted in our previous take on the device, Apple might just be working on a hybrid iPad Pro. Know Your Mobile reports that according to Evercore Partners analyst Patrick Wang, the iPad Pro may not only be a tablet but may also be a notebook at the same time.

Do you think a hybrid iPad Pro will be out in a few months?
