A judge ruled on Monday that Donald Sterling's wife Shelly Sterling did not try to defraud Donald when she made the $2 billion sale of the Los Angeles Clippers to former Microsoft exec, Steve Ballmer.

It is unclear whether Donald Sterling will appeal the court ruling, but as of right now, the sale of the Clippers will go through.

Los Angeles Clipper fans can now presumably breathe a sigh of relief, sincethe shamed owner of the NBA team Donald Sterling has been shot down in court.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers and a number of Clippers players were reportedly set to boycott the team if the sale fell through, which would have meant that Sterling stayed in place as an owner.

Shelly Sterling appears to be positive about her relationship with husband Donald, even despite the numerous allegations of affairs and racist leaked tapes.

The NBA wasted no time voicing their pleasure over the court ruling. "We are pleased that the court has affirmed Shelly Sterling's right to sell the Los Angeles Clippers to Steve Ballmer," the NBA said in a statement. "We look forward to the transaction closing as soon as possible."

It appears that the NBA, like most fans, is ready to move on with the issue, and perhaps leave Donald Sterling somewhere in the rearview mirror.

Sterling has been a thorn in the side of the NBA, bringing negative attention to both the LA Clippers and the NBA as a whole. But with today's court, the basketball team will be free to oust Sterling, and perhaps a new, slightly more positive influence will take over the Clippers.
