Author Ayelet Waldman is fuming over "Kim Kardashain: Hollywood" after her kids reportedly spent a good $120 in just 2 days, said Gawker.

"WARNING parents. The Kardashian Hollywood game somehow bypassed our parental in-app purchase controls. Our poor 11 year old spent $120 in 2 days. He's crying hysterically. He can't believe he lost so much money. A pox on those vile scumbag Kardashian pigs and their app designers," Waldman said in a Facebook post.

In another post, the author said that the game app was "designed to prey on children" and described it as "pure evil." Her 11-year-old son with Michael Chabon was reportedly "weeping his heart out" after busting the $20 purchase limit they've put up. BGR reported that the couple also disabled in-app game purchases.

Apple has refunded Waldman's kids and the author also tweeted, via Gawker, that they've "deleted all credit card info." Radar Online said that Waldman's anger was "misdirected," implying that she should not have called out on the Kardashian clan and the team behind the game.

Glu Mobile, the makers of "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood," told Radar Online:

"The Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game makes full use of all in-app purchase parental controls and Apple ID verification capabilities available on Apple's iOS and Mac App Store platforms. The game is not in any way designed to deceive players or cause unintentional purchases.

"To make an in-app purchase in Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, players must have access to the password for the associated Apple ID. Children are not able to make an in-app purchase without their parent's password."

So how could a Kim Kardashian game player spend $120 in a couple of days? Vox said that although the game is free to download, "any addicted player could easily spend hundreds of dollars in real life money."

The culprit, according to Vox, is extra energy and a special Kardashian game currency which players can use to purchase in-game essentials as well as not-so-essentials.

"Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" reportedly starts out with the player who takes the role of KK in the game folding clothes at a retail store, said Vox. Kim then works her way up the celebrity ladder in the game by way of everything the reality star did from 2007 to 2011 - "go on photo shoots, date famous men, do some interviews, network, charm."

The game, no matter how simple, takes the No.1 spot in the iTunes app store, said Vox. It is also said to rake in $700,000 a day, added the outlet.
