After winning against Shayna Baszler during the UFC 177 fight, Bethe Correia fearlessly challenged Ronda Rousey for a match but the UFC champ responded with a much bigger challenge.

During the UFC 177 fight, Correia was able to beat Baszler using numerous punches to up her career to a 9-0 record. Her recent victory prodded her to call out Rousey for a match to which the latter immediately replied to with, "I just hope she doesn't lose before I get a chance to beat her myself."

Yahoo Sports noted that the ranked 10th Correia has already defeated two of Rousey's teammates but her skills still need to match those of Rousey's killer moves.

The two have already expressed that they both want to fight each other and UFC president Dana White said that the Rousey vs Correia fight could happen. "We'll see what happens. She's (Correia) on the list. It's a short list," White told MMA Junkie.

The UFC head also said that Rousey suddenly became very interested in fighting Correia because of the "rain of punches" she threw on her opponent.

"As soon as (Bethe) started talking, she texted me and said, 'I want that fight; I want it now.' I want it before someone else beats her,' and I said, 'Calm down, lady. You've got other people to fight. We'll figure it out,'" White shared.

MMA Junkie explained that it isn't clear if White will allow Correia to reach the front line due to her "rivalry" with Rousey and the other membes of the Four Horsewomen.

"I don't think Bethe moves up because of the rivalry; I think Bethe moves up because of what she did tonight. That was crazy. The punches she hit (Baszler) with, I haven't seen anything like that since (Phil) Baroni (versus) (Dave) Menne. She looked good tonight. That's what's going to get her a fight with Rousey," White added.

Asked where she gets her strength and motivation, Correia told MMA Junkie that she was born a fighter. "It just took a while to find myself in the sport, and just to compete in the UFC is a huge feat for anyone. To fight Shayna, she's fought a lot of the top-10 fighters out there and beaten them, so it's a huge feat for anyone to do that, and I want a chance at Ronda at some point," she added.

In a similar report, Bleacher Report discussed that Correia could be the most exciting opponent for Rousey. Though she might not stand a chance at winning against the very skilled fighter, she might just give Rousey a great fight inside the ring.
