With Season Five of "The Walking Dead" quickly approaching just in time for Halloween, fans of the zombie series will have a chance to re-watch Season Four on Netflix beginning Sept. 28. Since the show took its hiatus all the way back in March, viewers sometimes feel the need to reacquaint themselves with the characters and the small plot lines that could become important in the new season.

In comparison to the breaks of HBO shows, AMC does not make viewers wait upwards of a year for the next season premiere. For that we thank you AMC. It's hard enough to wait six months let alone an entire year for our favorite shows to come back from hiatus.

Season Five of "The Walking Dead" kicks off on Oct. 12, meaning that fans will have around two-weeks time to binge watch all the Season Four episodes they can. Netflix is a rather addicting substance, with the instantaneous procession of episodes that freely flow without pressing a button. If one isn't careful, they can look up at the clock and realize that five hours have passed in the blink of an eye. Good television is hard to come by, so when viewers find something they like, they hold fast for dear life.

Even the show's cast and producers are eager for the series to make its re-entry onto public airwaves. Executive producer and special effects makeup designer Greg Nicotero told the Los Angeles Register that waiting for "The Walking Dead" is like counting down the days until Christmas. "I was thinking about it last night - in just a few weeks our show will be back on the air and the world will be reintroduced to Rick Grimes and all of our characters and the journey begins all over again," Nicotero said.

When asked what fans of the series could expect from the new season Nicotero did not go into any serious detail. Instead he generally stated that the series will follow the comic book a little more precisely. "I just got done working with one of the new directors and story-boarding a gigantic zombie sequence and it's something we've never done before. We're five years in and the appetite for the show continues to grow and the appetite for the stories, the characters and really great gags has grown exponentially. I feel like we have a responsibility to always keep it fresh."
