After rumors that WBC super flyweight champion Zulina Munoz and WBC Silver super flyweight champion Mariana Juarez will face off in the mandatory match, questions have arised if their forecasted fights with Jackie Nava and Ava Knight will still push through.

Victor Cota, WBC's Director of Press and Boxing Sage, earlier told Boxing Scene that the date of the fight of the two female boxers is yet to determined by the two fighters and their promoters.

Women Boxing, in an earlier report, said that the WBC has already set a deadline for the promoters to "agree on a date and the details of the fight" and in case they fail to reach an agreement, a purse bid will be conducted. The bout is reportedly one of the "sensational" fights in women boxing.

But despite preparations for their match, Juarez's promoter, Reginaldo Kuchle, reportedly confirmed that his fighter is still preparing to fight WBC champion Jackie Nava next month in Chiapas. Boxing Scene said that Juarez is also looking forward to seal a rematch with Ava Knight whom she fought when she was nursing an illness.

Bad Left Hook observed that their fight two years ago proved that Knight improved on her skills and continues to stun great fighters with what she can do on the ring. Perhaps, this is what Juarez is set to prove next, that she can beat the best out of Knight if she will fight in her healthiest form.

On the other hand, Munoz was able to defend her current title against Karina Hernandez last weekend during the first-ever WBC Women's Convention in Playa Del Carmen. A Boxing Tribune report indicated that the Munoz-Hernandez fight was "clean." It noted that Munoz's height and reach advantage helped her win the bout where she exhibited a very strong offense against Hernandez's failed attempts to land powerful punches.

Boxing Scene said that Munoz and Suarez were seated near each other during the WBC press conference where the former suggested that they can already discuss proposals for their upcoming fight including money matters.

The two undeniably great boxers have been rumored not to fight since Februay this year since the two were targeting different weight divisions. Many thought that their clash will never happen because of the failure to discuss the details of the fight and not agreeing on the weight class.

But now the tables have turned, the two will indeed be going head to head in a fight much anticipated by so many boxing fans. This opportunity will also highlight who really is more powerful and a better fighter between the two without sacrificing other match opportunities for both of them, at least that's what the promoters suggest.

It will also end the long-time debate on who really should be considered a greater fighter as this match will provide both of them the opportunity to showcase the mastery of their boxing skills.
