Whether you are the kind that prefers to grab the attention on the basketball court or you're the type that's on the safe side, Oct. 25 will be your day.

On Saturday at 8 a.m. EDT (5 am PDT), two variants of Air Jordan XX9 will be available on Nike.com and select Jordan Brand retailers at $225 a pair, boasting that you cannot take light for lightweight and that you have a choice.

The XX9 is the lightest model in the line of footwear, Nike said, and it's coming out with two color schemes this weekend.

The new fusion pink/tropical teal variant, or Fusion Pink simply, was a throwback to colorful jerseys from Michael Jordan's prime in the 1990s, the piece said.

A Jumpman logo adorns the outer sides of the shoes while the tongue has the famous "23" mark. According to Kicks on Fire, the black midsole contrasts with the bluish outsole. It also has black lining and laces.

Meanwhile, the other variant is monotone, featuring the simple but classic black and white combo, another Nike page said. The elephant print makes the shoe look wild and elegant at the same time, while the color scheme, Sneaker News noted, easily jives with one's getup.

The Jumpman logos on the tongue and heel stand make sure no one thinks the product comes from any other line. If that is not enough, the left heel has "23" and the right has "Jordan." The Latin Post said it has a white midsole and black outsole.

The two XX9 shoe colorways will get a lot of attention coming into the sneaker market when they come out with the much-anticipated Air Jordan 13 Retro Wolf Grey, the report also said. The model was first released Sept. 6 with the black-orange and black-white-red colorways, named Team Orange and Gym Red, respectively, Nike Blog said.

The XX9 has a remade Flight Plate technology. Wear Testers said the removal of the Zoom unit from the heel makes the reengineering a downgrade, but it did not feel like it. It also saves the player the adjustment time because there is no more uncomfortable protrusion in that part.

Furthermore, the outer fabric is woven and one-piece, enabling the feet to move comfortably.

According to the Sole Collector, the woven outer layer was inspired by car air bags, because "they're woven for strength, and then they have this other thin layer on top that makes sure that they hold air enough," said designer, Tinker Hatfield.

In the same report, Jordan himself said the upper layer addressed the stress points of basketball shoes, saying: "We can make certain areas a little bit stronger-let's just say in the forefoot-and less in other areas, to take pressure away."

The outsole is cool and futuristic. According to Wear Testers, it holds up on the typical court, with above-average traction. While it does not equal the traction of the XX8 and Kobe 9, it gives the buyer what he expects, it said.
