Selling more than 1 million units since its Nov. 22 launch, the Xbox One's so popular, even Spiderman is trying to seal one. 

According to The Detroit Free Press, a man wearing a Spiderman hoodie that zipped up into the hood attempted to steal one of the consoles from customers leaving the Meijer store in the Detroit suburb of Gratiot during the midnight launch. The hoodie effectively hid the man's identity, so it looked like the robber was wearing the mask of the famous crimefighter.

Two sisters had bought the console and were heading back to their car around 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 22. Hanging around the exit of the store, the masked men spotted the women and then followed the sisters to their car. He then demanded they give up their copy of the console. One sister reported seeing the barrel of a gun on the man's person. However, the two brave sisters remained cool, and questioned the man if he was seriously robbing them. At this point, the would-be thug looked around and saw the number of people leaving the store, put his hands in his pockets, and then ran off and hopped into a vehicle to flee the scene.

Chesterfield Township police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the crime; however, the police stated that they will not release the name of the man until he is officially charged and arraigned. Police stated that the Spiderman hoodie in question was found on the person. The man was picked up within 14 hours of the attempted robbery. The police believe the sole motivation behind the crime was to steal the Xbox One.

While this was a dangerous situation that could have quickly turned tragic, the two sisters managed to remain calm and were not harmed. Sadly, a similar story ended in tragedy when a man tried to resell a PlayStation 4 and one man was killed and another was hospitalized for gunshot wounds.
